Portuguese edition of ‘Cartas para minha avó’ reaches bookstores in Portugal
This week, Djamila Ribeiro celebrated on her Instagram the publication in Portugal of “Cartas para minha avó” (Letters to My Grandmother).
“With great joy, I announce that the Portuguese edition of ‘Cartas para minha avó’ has been published and is now available in bookstores across the country! This is my first publication in Portugal and I am very excited to soon host the launch events,” wrote the Brazilian philosopher.
Djamila praised the final cover art, highlighting that “it is very significant that my grandmother is on it in a book that connects with my female ancestry.”
The writer also thanked the editor Zeferino Coelho for his careful editing, and the publisher Leya for the opportunity to publish in Portugal.
