Djamila Ribeiro is moved by tributes received in Araraquara

Honored author of the 3rd edition of the Literary Festival of Morada do Sol (FliSol) in Araraquara, Djamila Ribeiro celebrated her encounter with the audience at the countryside city of São Paulo on her Instagram profile.
“Heart overflowing with joy! These days at FliSol in Araraquara were like a dream come true. Being chosen as the honored author of this edition by the dear and renowned Ignácio de Loyola Brandão, the festival’s patron, left me deeply moved. What an honor, what a joy! The energy and warmth from everyone present touched my soul. I received an exhibition with excerpts from my works, and my books were studied by various communities in the city!” posted the Brazilian philosopher, emphasizing that the event will remain etched in her memory.
“I will carry this memory with me forever. Thank you for everything, Araraquara!” wrote Djamila.

About FliSol
FliSol – the Literary Festival of Morada do Sol was held from November 6th to 10th, with free programming at the Municipal Theater of Araraquara. This cultural project promotes reading and integrates literature with other artistic forms, fostering knowledge and the appreciation of Brazil’s intangible cultural heritage. In this edition, FliSol honored writer and philosopher Djamila Ribeiro, a member of the São Paulo Academy of Letters (chair No. 28) and recognized by the BBC as one of the 100 most influential women in the world.
The Literary Festival of Morada do Sol is organized by the Colibri Institute in Araraquara, located in the central region of São Paulo State, with support from the Araraquara City Hall through the Municipal Department of Culture, Fundart, and EPTV, with writer Ignácio de Loyola Brandão as the festival’s patron.
The Brazilian philosopher was the honored author of the 3rd edition of the Literary Festival of Morada do Sol (FliSol) in Araraquara.
