After four months in the United States, Djamila Ribeiro arrived in Brazil last week to participate on November 5, 7, and 8 in two important events in São Paulo and Araraquara.

“I look forward to seeing you on November 5 for the launch of our guide ‘Is It Love?’  (“Será que é amor?”)at the Feminismos Plurais Space, and on November 7 and 8 for the Morada do Sol Literary Fair in Araraquara, where I have the honor of being the featured author,” the Brazilian philosopher shared on her Instagram profile. On November 7, Djamila will join the main panel “with my dear friend, the fair’s patron and brilliant writer, Ignácio de Loyola Brandão.”

Guide ‘Is It Love? Addressing Violence Against Women’

The guide ‘Is It Love? Addressing Violence Against Women’ is a project by Feminismos Plurais Space, “developed by our great partner Rosilene Pimentel, a social worker and coordinator of Rosângela Rigo Shelter (Casa Rosângela Rigo), the first short-term shelter for women facing violence in the city of São Paulo.”

At the event, copies of the material will be distributed for free, and it can also be downloaded for free via the linktree on Feminismos Plurais Space Instagram page.

“It’s Feminismos Plurais Space contributing to democratizing tools for recognizing and combating violence against women,” Djamila concluded.
